Research Opportunity Regarding Teacher Burnout

Hello, special educators! We here at University of Vermont (UVM) are so excited to share an amazing opportunity with you.  Our team at UVM is conducting a research study to gain a better understanding of the factors that contribute to or protect from feelings of burnout among teachers working with youth with challenging behaviors.  Our study includes surveys, focus groups, and video observation.  Participation is voluntary, but if you are a special education teacher or related service provider who provides behavior intervention to a student with a disability, we would love to hear from you! You have the opportunity to be involved in some or all of these research activities.  We can compensate you up to $145 for your time! Please find attached additional information about this study in the consent form and feel free to contact us should you have any questions about this research study.

If you are interested in participating, please do the following:

  1. Sign the Teacher Consent form and scan a copy to the email addresses below.
  2. We will then send you packages of student consent forms to recruit students/families.

We hope to hear from you in the near future! Best wishes for a successful school year.

Sincerely,

Dr. Justin Garwood                                                                             Ms. Jennifer Stratton
