Education Now/Understanding the Relationship Between Parent and Teen Mental Health: Posted at Making Caring Common, this episode of HGSE’s Education Now convened three experts to explore strategies to better support the mental well-being of parents and caregivers, with a view to preventing anxiety and depression in adolescents.

Caring for the Caregivers: The Critical Link Between Parent and Teen Mental Health: This report, produced by Making Caring Common, suggests that Parents’ and teens’ emotional health is deeply interwoven, and data indicate that parents are suffering anxiety and depression at about the same rates as teens. The report also offers five strategies for mitigating these emotional troubles in parents, guiding parents in knowing and providing vital emotional support to their teens, reducing the harmful impact of parental depression and anxiety on teens, and heading off damaging parent-teen dynamics.
