What is PBIS at the Intensive Level – Wraparound?
Wraparound is considered the most intensive team-based process using strengths-based assessment and planning and team coordination to achieve positive social and behavioral (and ultimately academic) outcomes for students at risk of school failure and struggling in other major life activities.
Wraparound emphasizes student and family engagement and focuses on meaningful quality of life goals within the system supports and curriculum integration of PBIS. By integrating wraparound within PBIS, positive school-level outcomes such as reduced referrals for special education and better screening of and earlier responses to behaviors problems are also anticipated.
Getting Involved at the Intensive Level
