  • Effectively design classroom learning spaces to facilitate typical instructional activities (e.g., small group, whole group, individual, and/or remote learning), facilitate transitions (e.g., plan movement among parts of room, organize instructional materials), and minimize distractions. 
  • Create purposeful visual prompts and displays to support learning (e.g., reminders of strategies), access to materials (e.g., labeled bins), and independent engagement with academic activities. 
  • Encourage play inside and outside of the classroom;
  • Consider adding outdoor environments as places for learning activities and learning breaks;
